in the lands of Elon we live
have we made peace yet?
This is a bit of a detour, but it is essential since Elon has bullied his way into all our lives in some ways, either directly or indirectly. Mars is the collective future all humanity is headed towards without considering other urgencies of our times. Depending on which side you are on, you would either be depressed or elated, but either way, Musk has won the election. In a month, he spent 100 million and immediately got returns for it; this is worth bookmarking. In the meantime, he also had a rocket land without crashing and made it to the top 20 of Diablo 4. These are not traditional achievements that others aspired to in the past.
Any billionaires on the other continents may have been called out for election tampering, but Musk is given a free pass here. What he plans to do in office is subject to critical readings of his master plans, and the direct impact of his influence is subject to how the other technology projects react. 2008 and 2012, the Obama years unfolded on Twitter. Trump was fun, but then he was banned. Soon after, got his social network, and is back again. The Verge reporting on Twitter traces the drama in significant detail. Social media is a paid service because of this shift. X as a subscription service, competes with traditional media by discrediting it.
Though we are not on the front lines, ripple effects and afterburns are what we get. As Google Earth shifts our perspective of the world we know, Space X is giving us Earth from Mars, red flag or otherwise. The space race is manifesting on two fronts, the private enterprise and the government missions. It is a grab for real estate, first in the sky and then the moon or whatever planet we get to. Trump is the construction business as well, so it is a win for both. Our lands on Earth are now of lesser value as trillions must be made in virtual reality and the dark matter of space. Repair and restoration have lost its value.
